Keeping up with the pressing demands of your family, career, and children is stressful. Concerning yourself with health issues and past problems may affect you negatively as well.
If you are having trouble coping with the effects of these matters, talking to a therapist might help. That is where Elizabeth Taylor, LPC, comes in. I am here to listen and help individuals like you who seek counseling so you can get started on healing.
It all started in my adolescent years, when I was initially drawn towards the counseling field as a teen after experiencing a sudden and tragic loss. Because of that event, I understood what it's like to feel trapped by wounds from the past or struggle to move past them into the future.
That early loss fueled me to work hard and follow my dreams and pursue my calling to counseling. In 1997, I received my master's degree in counseling psychology from The University of Southern Mississippi, and in 1999, after two years of post-graduate counseling work, I received my LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) certification.
In 2015, after 18 years of work in various agencies, I started my private practice as a licensed professional counselor. For the past 10 years, I've based my clinical practice in Brandon, MS, where my family has lived for almost 30 years.
I have worked with children, teens, adults, and families in various clinical settings for more than 22 years. I am particularly interested in helping adult women and men develop healthy boundaries, build healthy relationships, explore past traumas and loss, and find healing in the midst of life challenges.
While guiding others on their journey to healing, I prioritize my own self-care, including working out regularly, staying active in my local church, enjoying family time and reading. Married for more than 32 years now, my husband and I have two wonderful sons.
I offer individual adult counseling, Christian counseling, mental health counseling, grief counseling, and trauma counseling in Brandon, MS, and the surrounding areas. My counseling services are confidential, compassionate, and centered on your goals. You can be sure that I will be with you every step of the way as you deal with and rise above life’s challenges.
Most insurance plans include mental health counseling for individuals and families with only a co-pay amount. Others cover a large percentage after the initial annual deductible has been met. If you have specific questions regarding your policy, please contact your insurance company.
Please be advised that I do not accept Medicaid and Medicare insurance. However, I participate in the following insurance networks:
