About Elizabeth Taylor

It all started in my adolescent years. I was initially drawn towards the counseling field as a teen after experiencing a sudden and tragic loss. Because of that event, I understood what it's like to feel trapped by wounds from the past or struggle to move past them into the future.

The experience fueled me to work hard and follow my dreams. In 1997, I received my master's degree in counseling psychology from The University of Southern Mississippi. In 1999, I then obtained my license. Come 2013, I started my private practice as a licensed professional counselor. Then in 2017, I received my certification as a clinical trauma professional from the International Association of Trauma Professionals (IATP).

I have been working with children, teens, adults, and families in various clinical settings for more than 22 years. I am particularly interested in helping women who are dealing with infertility and recovering from traumatic events to get back up and build healthy relationships.

While guiding others on their journey to healing, I never forget to take care of myself. Happily married for more than 26 years now, my husband and I have two wonderful children together.

Counseling Services

I offer individual adult counseling, Christian counseling, mental health counseling, grief counseling, and trauma counseling in Brandon, MS and the surrounding areas. My counseling services are confidential, compassionate, and centered on your goals. You can be sure that I will be with you every step of the way as you deal with and rise above life’s challenges.

Are You Worried About the Cost or Insurance Coverage?

Most insurance plans include mental health counseling for individuals and families with only a co-pay amount. Others cover a large percentage after the initial annual deductible has been met. If you have specific questions regarding your policy, please contact your insurance company.

Please be advised that I do not accept Medicaid and Medicare insurance. However, I participate in the following insurance networks:

  • Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi
  • Aetna Healthcare
  • Advanced Health Systems (AHS) State Network
